Frequently Asked Questions
Why do you say “begins at” for pricing?
I put “begins at” for my prices for multiple reasons. Because many different types of wants might fall under this session category, the price can range a little bit. You might want a portrait session that is all about YOU or family sessions could be just mommy/daddy and me or “just the kids” - for that I would charge $300. Families up to 6 people, $350. Larger family sessions (up to 12 people) which include individual families/kids done separately outside a large family photograph, $450. You will receive a quote for your chosen session, location and number of people before you sign your contract and pay your deposit.
How do I book my date?
Your date is secured for you once you have signed your contract and paid your non-refundable deposit.
How do I choose the right session for me?

What locations do you work at?
The locations that I work at are located between the Grayling and Gaylord area. I am completely open to your favorite locations and do not mind traveling a little bit to get there if it is outside my home areas.
How far do you travel for sessions?
I am willing to travel outside of the Grayling and Gaylord area, however, a travel fee will be included beyond these areas.
Can you do my session in a studio?
My sessions are captured outdoors or in-home sessions. I currently do not have a studio or have access to one and honestly, I love the comfort of the great outdoors or your own home.
How do I prepare for my session?

Do you do wedding photography?
I am not booking weddings at this time.
Do you offer mini sessions?
I occasionally offer mini sessions around the holidays. If you are unsure of a session that is right for you, fill out an inquiry on my Contact page and we can chat!
Do you do portrait photography for graduations and the like?
I will occasionally do graduation sessions but because I do not feel a deep connection with these sessions, I do not book them often. All are welcome to inquire for a graduation session and I will let you know if I am available for booking them at that time!
Who will take the photographs at my session?
Just me, Ashley! I am the lead photographer for all sessions. For larger groups or newborn sessions, there will sometimes be an assistant to make sure everything moves smoothly and all magical moments are captured.
Who will edit the photographs from my session?
Me again! I select the best images from your session that tells your greatest adventure and edit all photographs myself with love and care.
When will I receive my photographs?
You will receive your photographs 2-3 weeks after your session date via link to an online gallery.
How will I receive my photographs?
You will receive a link to an online password protected digital gallery of professionally edited images for viewing and downloading with the rights to print your images.
What if I need to cancel?
If a session needs to be rescheduled due to illness or inclement weather, your non-refundable deposit and/or session fee will be applied as a credit towards a future session within 6 months. Client and photographer must agree on a re-shoot date. A twenty-four hour notice of postponements or cancellations is appreciated.
